ANNOUNCING Guardian Ministries' Feast Site for 2013.
From the mountains (2008-12) to the sea (2013) Guardian Ministries responds this year to the many requests for a change of location. And what a change of location it is! This year's Feast will be located in beautiful, exciting Ventura, California, at the only hotel right on the beach - the Crowne Plaza Hotel. We have attached a few pictures, but please go on their web site at www.cpventura.com and you will be able to take a "virtual tour."



We try to plan carefully for location and facilities, but Guardian Ministries will offer the same high quality spiritual worship services that have been the hallmark of this eight-day Feast. We like to emphasize fellowship with family and friends. Thus we put effort into the Feast's sermons, seminars (this year a special seminar for young adults), music, youth choir, family night and other special events. We do not want you to be so busy with planned activities, however, that you don't have time for yourself with family and friends.



Because of the beach location we have decided to have a CASUAL festival. Suits and ties are not required, just nice casual for services.

THINGS TO DO:
In Ventura you'll find a little of almost everything that makes for a pleasant, fun and interesting vacation. Here are some of my favorites:

1. Old Town Ventura -walking distance about 3 blocks from Crowne Plaza. Many restaurants of all price ranges, great food and they emphasize organic products. Also wine tasting, fun shopping, coffee houses and art galleries.
2. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library located about 45 minutes away. It's a fun adventure and educational as well. Have your picture taken on Air Force One. The grounds are beautiful and you can "see forever."
3. The world famous Santa Barbara Zoo
4. There are historical markers all over the area including various missions, historical parks, museums, theaters, and the Ventura HarborVillage.
5. One of our favorites is to rent a dual seat carriage bike and ride along the ocean for a mile or so. It's fun. You can get a workout and stop to view the surfers, whales and dolphins that populate the area. It has a top to shade you at all times.
6. Ojai Village in the hills above Ventura is a quaint place to visit. You'll find art galleries, good restaurants and wine tasting. It is famous for organic produce, citrus, nuts, grapes and lavender. Biking trails horseback riding, boating, fishing, and hiking are easy to do.
7. The Pier is my favorite place to walk. The sunsets are incredible. The ocean air is so clean and fresh with oxygen to give your lungs a tonic.

ACCOMODATIONS:
All rooms for Guardian Ministries' attendees are refurbished with new furniture, carpet, drapes, mattresses, etc. Most have ocean views and balconies. Each room has a microwave, a refrigerator and a coffee pot. Our meeting room gives you an eagle's view of the breath-taking scenery. It has windows on all sides - some looking to the ocean, some to the mountains. It is an inspiring venue for our worship services.

The hotel has many common areas to enjoy fellowship with friends and family such as the patio, pool, seating along the ocean, and a beautiful lobby. The Amtrak station is blocks from the hotel. So you can get there from either from Santa Barbara, Burbank or Los Angeles.

And the price is right! The sleeping rooms in September usually rent for $149 and up for a King or 2 Queens. We have negotiated a very attractive package at the Crowne Plaza:

Executive Suite $169 plus tax
Parlor Suite $269 plus tax

Plus: we asked and they agreed to take off the resort fee for parking, Wi-Fi in all rooms for Guardian members - a savings of $20 per day. RESERVATIONS: There are two ways to make reservations:

2) You can call directly to Crowne Plaza at their toll free number: 888-233-9527 or local phone 805-648-2100. Reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or advance deposit for the first night's stay. To get this rate you must identify yourself as being part of "Guardian Ministries." Since all meetings and events will be held at the hotel, how nice to walk out of your room to the elevator and go to the top floor for services, seminars, etc. We also have reserved a room at lobby level for evening events such as movies, bingo, etc.
